The focus of this course is on Schedule E of Form 1040. Schedule E is used to report various types of supplemental income, such as income and losses from rental real estate, royalties, partnerships, S corporations, estates, and trusts. Schedule E of Form 1040 is also used by fiduciaries filing Form 1041 to report supplemental income of a trust or estate. Income and expenses related to these categories may require the filing of additional forms and schedules.
